World Book Day is a global celebration of literature and reading. It’s a day dedicated to promoting the joy of reading, celebrating authors, and encouraging children, to explore the world of books. This year, the theme for World Book is ‘Read your Way’.
At Vidya Vikas Academy, we celebrated World Book Day on 23rd April 2024, with great enthusiasm and fervor. Ms.Loretta Rodrigues, graced the occasion as the guest speaker for the day. With years of experience in the field of creative writing, Ms. Rodrigues captivated the audience with her knowledge and passion for literature.
The students were engaged in an interactive session where they had the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences with writing.
The event succeeded in promoting the importance of reading and literature in the lives of young learners. It reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing a generation of avid readers and lifelong learners.
The students of class 9 A,B,C visited the Central library on the occasion of the World Book Day. There was a short programme followed by a talk by the resource person P.S Nadkarni on the Importance of book reading in the modern era. The students got an opportunity to tour the Central Library.
In the Library, a PPT was displayed on the TV and an exhibition along with the charts displayed on the soft boards
