World Cancer Day is an international day marked on 4th February to raise awareness on cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. This year the theme is ‘Close the care gap.’ It’s a three year campaign. The first year of the ‘Close the Care Gap’ campaign is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe.
To raise awareness about the same, a special assembly video was compiled and uploaded for the students of class 11 and 12. The video highlighted the importance of World Cancer Day. It also focused on the current theme of ‘Close the Care Gap’ and realization of its impact. Students were also informed about the early signs of cancer towards the end of the assembly video.
