Vidya Vikas Academy observed World Day for Social Justice on 20th February 2023 torecognize the need to promote social justice. The theme for this year was “Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Opportunities for Social Justice”
A special assembly was organised by the students of class 9 to highlight the importance of the day. Ridhvi Pednekar and Jonathan Fernandes began the assembly with the prayer and the pledge. Dhruv Desai and Sanket Zope explained the importance of the day. Tanishka Desai and Khushi Chaudhary recited a Hindi poem on Social Justice. A video was presented to emphasize that all men are equal. A poetry writing competition was previously conducted for classes 6 to 9 and the winners were felicitated during the special assembly. Sarvam Dalvi (9 A), Shradha Karwarker (9 C),Anushka Morais (9 C), Ayesha Barreto (9 C) and Alyssa Fernandes (6 B) were awarded certificates.
The assembly was concluded with Sarvam Dalvi’s recitation of his prize winning poem, ‘InMy Dream of a World of Humans.’
