1st October is observed as “World Elders Day”. On this occasion a virtual assembly was conducted on 1st of October 2021 for classes 6 to 12. The theme for this year is “Digital equity for all ages”. The theme aims at ageism and human rights, sustainable development, access & literacy, cyber security & ethics and accountability. The students were told about the significance of the day in the presentation. They were further informed about the different techniques with the help of which they could use to educate elders around them to use digital technology safely and effectively. Some tips on how to stay emotionally connected with our elders were also shared by the teacher. The assembly ended with a small quote saying that we must “listen to our elders not because they are always right but because they have more experience of being wrong.”
