The theme for the World Elder’s Day 2022 is ‘Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World’.On 14 December 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated 1st October as the International Day of Older Persons.Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated World Elder’s Day by conducting a special assembly to pay respect to our elders. A special prayer was said and a pledge was taken by the students to make them understand our responsibility towards our elders. Students also sang a song dedicating it to the elders. There was a short speech given by a student on the importance of World Elder’s Day.
The objective of this assembly was to raise awareness about the changing world to the elderly and to appreciate the contributions that older people make to the society.
