World Environment Day, the special assembly was conducted on June 11th at Vidya Vikas Academy. “The bottle garden” hands on activity was conducted to encourage students to become more environmentally conscious and to promote sustainable practices to protect our planet.
A hands-on activity was conducted for students where they brought glass bottles,twigs of plants and water to assemble their own bottle gardens. During the activity, they also observed an already set-up bottle garden. The students were fascinated by the growth of roots and appreciated the process of plant development.
Students learnt about the impact of human activities on the environment, the importance of biodiversity, and ways to reduce their ecological footprint. They also developed a sense of responsibility and commitment towards preserving nature for future generations.
