“If you want to feel better eat better’’ – Unknown
World Food Day was observed on 16th October,2023 with enthusiasm by the Pre-Primary section students, with the primary objective of raising awareness about healthy eating. The assembly featured creative role-play enactments, distinguishing between a balanced and unhealthy diet. The message conveyed emphasized occasional indulgence in less nutritious foods, encouraging a balanced approach. A delightful rhyme about healthy eating added a creative touch to resonate with young learners.
The learning experience extended beyond the assembly, with students engaging in experiential learning by making fruit salad in their respective classes. This hands-on activity, guided by teachers, allowed students to understand the importance of incorporating different fruits into their diets while emphasizing proper hygiene. The event successfully enlightened students about the vital role of food, reducing wastage, and instilling a sense of responsibility to help feed the hungry and those in need.
