On April 8th 2024, students of Vidya Vikas Academy Senior Secondary Section gathered for a special assembly to commemorate World Health Day. The assembly centered around the theme “My health, My Right”
The students delivered speeches on Introduction to the significance of World Health Day highlighting its global importance in promoting health awareness and advocating for access to healthcare services for all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic background followed by a video presentation which emphasized upon the fundamental human right to attain the highest standard of physical and mental health, as enriched in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Ms. Diela Dias, a nutritionist and a dietitian and also alumna of Vidya Vikas Academy, highlighted in her talk, a good lifestyle encompasses various elements such as ensuring adequate sleep, consuming nutritious food and engaging in regular exercises as being essentials in maintaining optimal physical and mental well-being.
The session was successful in obtaining the goal of boosting among the student’s active interest in embracing a healthy lifestyle.
