World Malaria Day

World Malaria Day is a global healthcare awareness event observed annually on the 25th of April. Malaria is a preventable and curable disease that affects millions of people worldwide, particularly in tropical and sub-tropical regions. Therefore, it is essential to educate people about the importance of prevention and treatment of this disease. On 27th April, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Vidya Vikas Academy to observe World Malaria Day. The main objective of this assembly was to raise awareness among the students about malaria and its impact on individuals and communities.

The theme of this year’s World Malaria Day is “Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement”. The assembly began with a brief introduction to the significance of World Malaria Day by one of the students, followed by a skit performed by a group of students. The skit depicted the story of a person that suffered from malaria due to lack of awareness and inadequate prevention measures. It stressed on the importance of using mosquito nets, avoiding stagnant water, and seeking medical help in case of symptoms.

To conclude the assembly, the students emphasized the need to take collective action to prevent malaria and encouraged their peers to spread awareness among their families and friends.
