‘Music is the voice of the soul’
World Music Day is celebrated every year on 21st June to celebrate and promote the global language of music. It helps to bring together people of different nationalities, cultures, and races through music. The day, also known as Fête de la Musique, originated in France in 1982, and has since gained popularity worldwide.
A special assembly on World Music Day was conducted for the Pre-Primary section on 21st June, 2023. The assembly began with a short prayer to invoke God’s blessings on each one of us followed by an introduction to music and the significance of this day. The students of classes Jr. KG & Sr. KG welcomed teachers and students gathered by singing a ‘Welcome Song’. Various quotes based on music were shared by the students.
A fashion show of students dressed as famous musicians, singers etc. was a part of the event so as to pay tribute to those who contribute to the field of music.
