Vidya Vikas Academy, Senior Secondary Section celebrated World Photography Day to mark a tribute to the immense impact that photography has on our lives, documenting our world’s beauty ,struggles and moments of significance. World Photography Day, is observed on August 19th every year, and is a global celebration of the art,history and technology behind photography.It is a day to honor photographers and their contribution to visual storytelling.
This year the theme for World Photography Day was “Landscapes”. To create awareness about the same, a photography competition in different categories was organised for students of Classes 1-12 and the VVA staff to showcase their photography skills. Mr. Oscar Chagas e Silva, President of United Goan photographers & Videographers association graced the occasion and enlightened the gathering with his personal experiences and gave an in-depth insights with regards to photography as career & also judged the competition & acknowleged the efforts undertaken by the students and teachers.
