World Youth Skills Day 2021

Skills that we learn are the weapons that help us to overcome any difficult situations. We grow by adopting new skills and they even increase our adaptability. To encourage the creativity of youth, every year 15th July is observed as World Youth Skills Day. In this regard, a virtual special assembly was conducted for the students of the Senior Secondary Section to highlight the strategic importance of adopting new skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

The theme for this year is ‘Reimagining Youth Skills Post-Pandemic’ which aims to celebrate the resilience and inventiveness of the youth throughout the COVID-19 crisis. To mark this day in a unique way, the students were asked to share their skills that they explored during the pandemic and post pandemic times. The commendable work sent by the students was compiled together in a video and was shared with them. Considering the significance of the day, a message was conveyed to the students at the end that, ‘when you discover your strengths, you will more willingly confront even those areas that are challenging for you’.
