Vidya Vikas Academy Teacher’s Recreational Committee organized an online Yoga session for the staff on 8th January 2022, keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic and maintaining social distancing.
The session was conducted by Sir Ashutosh Chari (Yoga Instructor) from 8:00am to 8:30am. The session started with warming exercises followed by the Yoga Asanas.
The following Asanas were performed:
1.Trikonasana helps increase stability and activates the core muscles, which aids in balance and stability. It reduces stiffness in the spine and back, resulting in increased flexibility. Also reduces stress.
2) Tadasana help correct muscle imbalances, improve posture and deepen awareness. It also improve posture, coordination, agility and boost circulation. Strengthen your back, hips, and legs.
3)Simhasana comprises a lion-like posture and roaring sound from the mouth made while assuming this asana. Simhasana controls stress, anger and tension. Useful for people with bad breath and for those who stutter.
It releases stress from our body, especially from the chest, face and mind.
4)Bhramari Pranayama: nurtures peace in your being, which in turn results in self-healing.
It lowers one’s blood pressure, thus relieving hypertension. It also soothes the nerves.
It was a short but very productive session, where in all the staff members participated enthusiastically.
