Session on Geoscience in Your World: From Daily Life to Dynamic Careers
As part of Vidnyan Dhara 2025, a session titled "Geoscience in Your World: From Daily Life to Dynamic Careers" was conducted by Ms. Swati Santosh Ghadi from Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science for Classes 9 and 11 on 25th January 2025. The session aimed to highlight the role of Geoscience in daily life, environmental challenges, and career opportunities in fields like geology and resource management. Through interactive discussions, visuals, and a question and answer segment, students explored real-life applications of Geoscience, including sustainable living and disaster preparedness.
The key takeaways for students included an understanding of how Geoscience helps in addressing environmental issues, along with the realization that careers in Geoscience encompass diverse fields such as geology, environmental science, and resource management.
