Autism Awareness Day Assembly Report 2025-2026

World Autism Awareness Day was observed at Vidya Vikas Academy on the 5th of April, 2025.The ‘Light it Up Blue’ Campaign is internationally observed on the 2nd of April, to raise awareness and foster worldwide support towards children with Autism. The theme for the year 2025 is ‘Celebrating Differences’.

The students of the Life-Skills Resource Room showcased a vibrant display of talent and abilities. The program commenced with a meaningful prayer by the children followed by a beautiful action hymn ‘Peace like a river’. Jairus Fernandes recited an inspiring poem on ‘Mom’. The children put up a pulsating performance and danced to the tunes of ‘Sing High, Sing Low’. Jace Fernandes recited a thought provoking poem to his parents, in gratitude for the many sacrifices they make. The children lit the stage with a foot stomping performance on ‘Dreamers’, which was well applauded.

The school presented the students with certificates of appreciation to acknowledge the remarkable progress shown during the academic year.

The Vice-Principal, Mrs.Tania Monteiro thanked the parents, children and teachers for their hard work and dedication. The parents expressed their gratitude and shared their valuable thoughts. The staff of Vidya Vikas Academy wore shades of blue in support and solidarity to the ‘Light it Up Blue Campaign’.
