‘Goa Liberation Day’ is observed on 19th December every year to commemorate the state’s liberation from Portuguese rule in 1961.
This remarkable event was celebrated by the Pre-Primary section of Vidya Vikas Academy.
The programme started with Tr. Lynette emphasizing on the significance of the day. Few students also spoke enthusiastically about the traditions of Goa. Two students of Jr.KG B represented the heroes of Goa as they dressed up as freedom fighters. A melodious song and Kunbi dance was performed by the tiny tots of Jr.KG B. A fashion show was also put up depicting the culture and traditions of Goa.
The Programme concluded with Quiz’conducted by Tr.Lizel.
