In this world of greed and unhealthy competition Gandhi’s idea of sustainable development is the only way out. On occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Vidya Vikas Academy held a grand celebration with a special assembly followed by a cleanliness drive.
The special assembly was conducted for the students of Class 8 ABC. The event was graced with the presence of our school principal Mrs. Joble Bijoy and the vice principal Mrs. Sheetal Kumar. The assembly began with a short prayer followed by lighting of the traditional lamp and garlanding of the potrait of Gandhiji. The assembly comprised of valuable inputs and principles from Gandhiji’s life which were conveyed to the students through speech and poem. To conclude with the event the vice principal Mrs. Sheetal Kumar addressed the students.
With the agenda of symbolic initiative in regards to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a cleanliness drive was also conducted in and round the school campus for classes 6 to 10. The school authority provided the students with all necessary safety gears.
