An awareness talk on child abuse was conducted at Vidya Vikas Academy for the students of class 9, by the final year students of Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao-Goa. A team of dynamic law students- Dinsmore Rodrigues Da Costa Pires, Shefali Bandodkar, Sergei Baretto and Rochelle Rodrigues- sensitized students on the issues related to child abuse and created legal awareness regarding safety and remedies.
Learning about abuse can help one identify it if it happens to them. The topics covered in this session will help the students learn and talk about different types of abuse. It also made them aware of how to stay safe and what to do in case abuse happens.
It was an enriching experience for the students who enthusiastically participated in the interaction during the session.
