“Mighty tigers hear them roar, for they may be no more”.
International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as a way to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The day aims to build a worldwide system that will be dedicated to protecting tigers and their natural habitats.
In order to make students aware about the importance of protecting the tigers the theme for the No Schoolbag Day was Brave as A Tiger.
Students came dressed in orange and black or clothes depicting the Tiger. The school corridor boards too decorated on the theme Saving the Tiger. Various activities related to the Save the Tiger such as collage work, pen stand, making bookmarks and headgears, drawing and colouring, action songs were conducted for students of classes 1 – 5. Students were explained how changes in the environment, destruction of the natural habitat of tigers and killing of tigers will lead to extinction of the tigers.
Students enjoyed the fun – packed day, showing great dynamism in the activities performed.
